Farmers have been selected through lottery for purchase of paddy directly from the farmer under the initiative of Upazila Cereal Collection and Monitoring Committee in Mahadevpur of Naogaon. UNO Mizanur Rahman presided over the lottery organized at the Upazila Parishad auditorium last Saturday. On the occasion 2 thousand 910 farmers were selected from the list of about 20 thousand marginal farmers. One metric ton of paddy will be purchased from each of them at a price of Tk 26.

Among others, Upazila Chairman Ahsan Habib Bhodan, Upazila Agriculture Officer Arun Chandra Roy, Upazila Food Controller Shawkat Jamil, O.C LSD Mahadebpur Abdus Salam, O.C LSD Mahisbathan Abul Kadam Azad, O.C LSD Matagihat Sohel, Sadar UP Chairman Md. Mahbubur Rahaman Dhalu, Jubo League leader Masudur Rahaman Masud were present there. #
