Mohadevpur Dorpan, Quazi Rawshan Jahan, Naogaon, 17 September 2024 :

100 female students of various schools received free bicycles and educational materials as part of a Social Aid initiative funded by the donor organization Karama Solidarity of Belgium in Patnitala of Naogaon.

Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Azizul Karim distributed these as the chief guest in a gathering organized at Kantabari High School grounds of the upazila on Tuesday (September 17) afternoon.

Among others, Intorion Country Representative of Belgium Mohammad Ali Sohail, Executive Director of Social Aid Babul Akhtar, Director Ishaq M Sohail, Consultant and Chief Executive of Rani NGO Fazlul Haque Khan, Former President of Kantabari High School Management Committee Mosharraf Hossain Chowdhury, Naogaon representative of ATN Bengal Raihan Alam and others were present.

A student named Rima Rani said, ‘Earlier I used to come to school by van or easy bike. Many times had to stand on the road for vans. Many times I was late to go to school. Now I got the bike. I will travel by bicycle.’

Another student Piyasi Rani said that her school is quite far from home. She no longer has to walk to distant schools because he has a bicycle. She can come to school by bicycle. It’s great to have a bike. This will increase his interest in studies.
